Lab-grown diamonds are created using two primary methods: Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT). Both replicate the natural conditions under which diamonds form — intense heat and pressure — but in a controlled setting over weeks rather than billions of years.

In CVD, a thin diamond seed is placed in a chamber filled with carbon-rich gas. The gas is heated until carbon atoms deposit onto the seed, building a diamond crystal layer by layer. HPHT uses a large press to apply extreme pressure and temperature to a carbon source, crystallizing it into diamond around a seed.

Yes. Every center stone at Peaceful Diamonds comes with an IGI (International Gemological Institute) certificate. The certificate details the diamond's cut, color, clarity, and carat weight — graded to the same standards as mined diamonds.

They're identical to the naked eye — and to most gemological instruments. Lab-grown diamonds share the same chemical composition (pure carbon), crystal structure, hardness (Mohs 10), refractive index, and brilliance as mined diamonds.

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds test as real diamonds on standard diamond testers because they are real diamonds. These testers measure thermal or electrical conductivity, and lab-grown diamonds have the same properties as mined ones.
